Today's News from Minya Governorate: 11 Illegal Structures Removed and Cultural Events Held to Promote Citizenship

The local authority of Minya City and District continues its intensive efforts to preserve agricultural land. Executive agencies have carried out large-scale campaigns to remove encroachments and demolish illegal structures. These actions are being taken in accordance with the directives of Major General Emad Kadwani, Governor of Minya.

Removal of encroachments covering an area of 1,540 square meters in Minya

Initially, the campaigns led by Dr. Saeed Mohammed succeeded in removing 11 cases of various encroachments. The total area of these encroachments was approximately 1,540 square meters. The violations were distributed among the villages of Bani Mohammed Sultan, Tukh al-Kheil, Nazlat Hussein, and Al-Barjaya.

As a result, nine cases of encroachment on Agricultural Credit Authority land, covering an area of 1,290 square meters, were demolished. In addition, the demolitions included excavated foundations, ground-floor walls, and stone fences. Separately, two cases of illegal construction within the urban area, covering an area of 250 square meters, were halted.

Accordingly, the local authority confirmed that all signs of encroachment had been removed at the earliest stage and the foundations filled in. The wooden scaffolding was also dismantled, and the land was handed over to the relevant state authorities. In addition, deterrent legal measures were taken against all violators to ensure that such encroachments do not recur.

Cultural and Health Awareness Activities at Kom Al-Hasil School

In a related development, Kom al-Hasil Preparatory School hosted a series of distinctive cultural and artistic events. The General Authority for Cultural Palaces organizes this program to promote the values of citizenship and a sense of belonging. This collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and the Minya Governorate aims to raise awareness among young people.

Therefore, the program included an important lecture on the principles of “first aid” in collaboration with the Red Crescent. Volunteers provided a detailed explanation of how to handle sudden injuries before a doctor arrives. However, the event focused particularly on teaching children how to treat bleeding.

In conclusion, the director of the center emphasized the need to continue these field and awareness-raising efforts on a regular basis. To that end, the governorate aims to uphold the authority of the state and protect its rights while simultaneously raising awareness among the people of Minya.
